Emanuel and I went to school together and were great mates, especially in the last 3 years where we played rugby together and spent many hours listening to music. As happens, we drifted apart after school until we met again at a mutual friend’s wedding at Boschendal in Franschoek where we are both guests. I met Emanuel’s then fiancé, Nicola, and we unsurprisingly all got along fabulously. Fast forward a few months and I was shooting their wedding at the stunning Lanzerac hotel in Stellenbosch. What a wedding it was! Starting with a beautiful ceremony in an old Catholic Church in town, followed by a party with lots of dancing at the iconic hotel.
