A Few More Details

INFO YOU'LL WANT TO KNOW

I don't do half-measures, and therefore don't offer half-day wedding packages. When you hire me to photograph your wedding you get me for the whole wedding. I will start early to capture everything as the day unfolds - details of the day and the exciting time spent getting ready, then the ceremony followed by a couple shoot, family portraits and pictures of the wedding party, then on to the toasts and formalities, and well into the reception party.

For larger weddings or times where I can't be in two places at once I would suggest adding a second shooter - I have a great network of brilliant professionals who can join us on the day to make sure no moments are missed.

WHAT I OFFER

01.

THE MEETING

Please get in touch and let's set up a time for a coffee, phone call or Zoom meeting to get to know each other a little better, and you can tell me what you're planning.

02.

THE PLAN

I'm always happy to meet in person or talk on the phone, but to keep everything organised and easy to reference it's always good to have everything followed up in writing on an email chat.

03.

THE SHOOT

Your wedding day will be captured from start to finish without you having to worry about a thing. You will have given me a shot list in advance and I will make sure friends and relatives are available to be photographed as needed.

04.

THE EDIT

I try to deliver around ten highlight images via email or Whatsapp within a day or two of the wedding. These are a taster to whet your appetite and to share the good news on social media, or to send to family and friends who weren't there.

The final edit - a minimum of 500 processed images - will be delivered within eight weeks of the wedding, both in high resolution for print and low resolution for email/socials.

05.

THE PRINT

I also offer bespoke wedding albums in either a genuine leather or linen cover. These can be ordered straight away, or any time within two years of the wedding.

Some Common Questions

FAQ

01.

Where are you based?

After having lived in East Africa for many years, I am currently based in Cape Town, South Africa.

02.

Which destinations do you travel to for weddings?

Although based in South Africa, my passport is always up to date and I’m ready and eager to travel anywhere in the world!

03.

Can we meet you before to discuss the wedding?

I would love to meet before but as that’s often not possible depending on where you live, a video call or Zoom meeting so we can get to know each other and discuss the shoot is always a great idea.

04.

How many photos and what type of files do we get?

A minimum of 500 processed JPEG’s are delivered through a downloadable web link.

05.

How long does it take before we get our photos?

Within the first few days of the wedding I deliver a few tasters on e-mail, a section of around 10 photos of the day. The full edit is delivered not later than 8 weeks of the wedding day.

06.

Do you work with an assistant?

I generally work alone however if it is a big wedding or there is more than one thing happening at the same time in different places, then adding a second photographer maybe worthwhile or necessary.

07.

Do you do destination weddings?

Absolutely! Most of the weddings I've shot have been destination weddings.

08.

What equipment do you use?

I am an ambassador for Sigma South Africa and use their award winning lenses on top of the range of full frame Nikon cameras to capture your day.

09.

What happens if there is rain or bad weather?

Rain and bad weather can create great opportunities for interesting environmental portraits and fun journalistic shots, with dramatic skies, wind swept hair or guests either avoiding getting soaked or dancing in the rain!
My cameras are weather sealed allowing me to work in any conditions and I use artificial lighting where necessary. Besides I like to believe “there is no such thing as bas light.”

10.

What’s the best way to get in touch?

Send me an e-mail and I’ll get back to you

Whichever way you like - let's get the conversation started.
I do like to move communications to email though, so we all have a thread with all details and points accessible for easy reference.

11.

Do you offer half day wedding packages?

I firmly believe in capturing your whole experience and therefore my packages are not limited by a certain amount of hours.
